Although I generally like to drink my coffee black. On some occasions, I like to add a little sweetener to my coffee. For some people, this is a big no-no, but it all depends on the person and how often you add a sweetener. Honestly, with the times we are living in if you need a little sugar to help you get through the day I say go for it. So what do you think? Do you reach for a delicious variety of syrups or just plain old sugar?

There are so many kinds of syrups and using them in your drinks at home can be a bit of an experiment. Add too much and you will ruin your whole drink. Too little and you might have to start all over. Keep reading for some great tips on how to use syrups in your favorite morning beverage.

Difference Between Sauces and Syrups

Syrups are great since they can be used in hot and cold drinks. They are thinner and sweeter than sauces. Some syrups are made for hot drinks and adult beverages like the Davinci syrup line. If you get a quality syrup you only need to add a little to enhance the flavor of your coffee.

Sauces should only be used in hot beverages so the sauce is distributed evenly. They help the drink to take shape. All the pretty designs that we see on some coffee drinks we order are normally a caramel or chocolate sauce. Caramel Macchiato and Mocha drinks love to show off with flavored sauces.

Tip: If you really like flavored sauces try adding them at the bottom of your drink. It is amazing!

All About the Sugar

One of the most popular coffee extras is sugar. Just about any sugar can be used except for powdered sugar. That may not do the trick. The best thing about coffee is if you need to use a sugar substitute there are so many out there that don’t raise your insulin. Some are natural and tastes very similar to the kind of sugar the rest of us are addicted to.

A few of my favorite are Monk Fruit and Erithitryol. With these benefits, it may worth the effort to do a little research to see which one would be good for you. After all, it’s nice to have a sweet coffee treat every once in a while.

Adding coffee and syrups are a great way to spice up your coffee and take it to the next level. What is even better is having good quality coffee to start with. Check out the blog post “4 Amazing Types of Coffee Bean Flavors To Experience” to create your perfect coffee drink!
